Thoroughly clean both magnets and the pan itself, ensuring there are no metal shavings. Locate and remove two disc-shaped magnets. On the transmission pan, remove the old gasket and the overflow pipe.You may need to wiggle until it comes free. Carefully pull down and remove the filter, which is integrated into a metal housing.A small amount of oil remains in the oil pan, so be careful as you lower the oil pan. Carefully lower the transmission pan and move it out of the way. For this, you will need a 10mm Allen key socket and a suitable extension. Depending on the model, you will need to remove the whole splash guard or just the rear section. Still, if you don’t have access to it, lift both the front and rear sides of the car on jack stands, ensuring it is leveled and sits securely.
